ORGANIC PRODUCE FRIDAY: looking for lettuce, spring mix, spinach, avocados, bananas, apples, mangos, celery, potatoes, grapefruit, grapes, kale, sprouts, and more. Be sure to load up on oranges and ginger, red and yellow onions, red and green cabbage, garlic and tomatoes, avocados and limes, and other good organic stuff that Gretchen pulls out of the fridge on Wednesday. Look also for Brewer’s mushrooms to saute, fry, make soup, or eat raw.
GRAPESEED VEGENAISE IS BACK: At least, it wasn’t listed on the out-of-stocks, so fingers crossed, we should have plenty this week. I’m also excited about Arora brand organic Indian spice blends, Fiordifrutta organic Italian fruit spreads, Viani organic sunflower spreads, all new to Rabbit Food, and all with GREAT-sounding labels.
WHO WAS IT who wanted to know when Hilary’s bean burgers were on sale? They’re on sale this month, so I’ll have plenty of adzuki and hemp and greens burgers in the freezer. This would be a good month to stock up and save; buy a case. We have through the end of September.
