SEPTEMBER 17. . . .SOMETHING ABOUT September seems quite in-between: in between Californian and Mexican avocados, not quite into the new season’s organic domestic apples, waiting on Amande to get their operation underway again. Updates on these and other products you’re used to seeing at Rabbit Food are below, along with news on great organic and natural products that we have in or will get in.
ORGANIC LEMONS are not at either of the warehouses of our organic produce distributors. Limes are available but are pricey.
ORGANIC AVOCADOS from California are finished. I’m told it will be a week or two before the Mexican organic Haas are in. No avocados this week!
AMANDE’S PACKAGING woes continue. The latest info says they should have product out sometime in September. September? That will have to be soon, then!
DR. OETKER has re-branded under the name European Gourmet Bakery. So the organic chocolate pudding that was ordered should be here on Thursday in the new box!
ORGANIC PRODUCE THURSDAY: carrots, baby spinach, Bartlett pears, seedless flame grapes.
ORGANIC PRODUCE FRIDAY: lots and lots of Chilean pink lady apples that customers gave two thumbs up, kale, lettuce, broccoli, more wonderful pink CA grapefruit, pineapples, celery, and cabbage perhaps.
REQUESTS FROM UNFI: gallon bottles of Bragg’s organic apple cider vinegar, Beanito’s chips, Bubbie’s dill relish, xylitol, organic grade B maple syrup, organic peanuts, organic whole spelt, Bonne Maman orange marmalade, organic mustard, organic apple sauce, Pamela’s gluten-free mixes, organic rolled oats, kombucha, organic chocolate pudding mix.
AND HOW COULD I FORGET? A little bird named Wren visited on Saturday, bringing with her a case of Tennessee Wren’s wunnerful honey. Don’t know how much more we’ll get, so don’t wait to come in and get some.
